Many Such Takes: Hitler (General), Dresses Men Like, Not Meant to Work, Woke Pope
The most unhinged discourse of the week, always free (this one is extra jam-packed!)
Welcome to Many Such Takes! For those unfamiliar, this is a free weekly segment (I also do lots of other stuff!) For Many Such Takes, I stay up to date with the latest and most chaotic Twitter (and now BlueSky) discourse so you don’t have to. If you see yourself featured here and you don’t like it, simply send me a Substack message and I will happily remove, no matter who you are or what you said.
This issue of Many Such Takes will be a bit longer because it also covers last week. So let’s get into it!
Hitler (General)
Officially, you’ve been warned. If you do not want to read about all the Hitler stuff that happened on Twitter this week, keep scrolling!
It brings me no pleasure to say this, but Hitler is having a major moment right now all across the Everything App. Before I go further, let me take a moment to acknowledge that Hitler is, in fact, Bad. Anyone who subscribes to this Substack probably agrees with me on that, so I don’t feel the need to belabor it, but I know there will be someone in the comments section looking for an argument by accusing me of being inadequately anti-Hitler. So, unpopular controversial opinion: I am anti-Hitler.
I’m not sure exactly how this all started, but it probably came off the heels of two things. First of all, two weeks ago a woman named Shiloh Hendrix got preemptively anti-canceled by the right after she was filmed hurling the N-word at a father in the park (and presumably also his son, who was rumored to be five years old and autistic.) Although she was never initially canceled in any meaningful way (I guess some people are trying?) she was immediately crowdfunded and given over $600K. While Twitter argued over whether or not she was justifiably redeemed, another piece of information came out: the man she verbally accosted was apparently previously accused of sexual assault against a minor back in 2023 (unless it’s a guy with his exact name in his town.) Of course, Shiloh didn’t know any of this when she called him a racial slur, but a bunch of people on right wing Twitter took the position that you’re either on the side of flagrant N-bombs, or you’re a pedophile.
Others simply asked: how can I get in on this gravy train?
In case you were like, “Okay, that’s too much racism for me,” I have bad news, because I haven’t gotten to the second thing yet. Ye released his latest hit single “N, HH” (it stands for what you think it does), otherwise known as the song of the summer for people who got really into Vikings in 2021.
A video of a couple singling along to the song (and seig heiling) from their car went viral. A few Nazis got offended because I said it was “giving Reddit.” I regret nothing.
I’m struggling with what to share, because I don’t really want to include racial slurs here even if I’m quoting someone, but I managed to find a quote that was pretty MST-worthy even before the NHH stuff (which, yes, was mentioned right after “singing”)
Guys, I’m serious…Hitler has gone woke. We are now entering an era of Hitler Kumbaya, complete with “Asains.” Next up:
There was also a great deal of arguments between various Nazi factions about whether or not it was harmful to the movement to listen to rap music at all, or to start inviting various lesser races into the multicultural master race for the sake of specifically hating Jews. (Let them fight!)
We also had a story from the UK, where a bunch of people got arrested for throwing a Hitler party (Extremely depressing that a bunch of British Nazis are able to get more people to RSVP to a party than I am.) I have to admit, I had no idea this was illegal in the UK, so I took the moment to riff off of “Democracy Manifest,” a clip from a 1991 Australian news segment where a man asked police who were arresting him, “Gentlemen, what is the charge? Eating a meal? A succulent Chinese meal?” (I promise you this video is not very obscure, at least not on Twitter.) Also note that I cropped the cake because I wasn’t sure about whether a swastika should be on Substack in any capacity, but yes, it was a swastika.
Anyway, most people got the reference (thank God) but this led to a few people accusing me of being pro-swasticake, and even more Nazis thinking I was on their side for defending free speech (I am pro-free speech, but if I had to pick an example of someone who was unfairly censored I would simply not pick people who made an inedible-looking Red 40 fondant cake of a swastika.)
Other people noted the fact that the party was “alleged” despite it being, well, very obviously a Hitler party.
Dresses Men Like
Okay, done with all the Hitler stuff, I promise. Hopefully next week will be much lighter on the Hitler. Ideally, Hitler-free. Anyway, a topic I enjoy much more: dresses!
Megha, a relatively well-known trad account, posted this image to showcase the clothes that men really like—dresses that show off the female form without being “crass.” I actually already did a study on this and I can confirm, most straight men actually really enjoy clothes that are fairly revealing. (Although I do plan to re-do it with photos of real women. I’m afraid no real women will agree to do it, so I might have to use myself as the model for all 20-30 photos.)
Anyway, people were quick to jump in, either to agree or disagree, or just be funny:
Won’t somebody think of the cars??
We got a great (somewhat CHH coded?) trend about asking husbands which dresses they prefer on their wives. This one seemed to go the most viral (I love this poster, btw.) I commented that my husband would find this dress unattractive because it fails to show any separation of ass cheeks the way jeans would:
A bunch of people responded to the above user by accusing her husband of being “porn brained” for not preferring something classier. Others took the position that being turned on by such a revealing, overtly sexual dress was just part of being a guy.
Obsessed with this guy who just likes “colonial” dresses. It’s giving Felicity!!
Not Meant to Work
Major CHH chum on the TL this week, when a female user asserted that women were just not made to work, because we are too fragile and wilting for spreadsheets. Check out the ratio:
I think everyone knows what I’ll say on this, so I might as well plug my previous (extensive) writing on this topic. First of all, if we are comparing office work with being a trophy wife with maids and nannies, it is much harder, but of course, most women throughout history have worked. The only modern thing is the ability for women to work for their own income in a white collar setting, but that is considerably easier than working on a farm with six children, which seems to be the ultimate dream for many of these people. (Giving her the benefit of the doubt, maybe she truly just means SAHM life, not rural farm life, but even then, being a SAHM who doesn’t have hired help can be much more physically and emotionally exhausting than a full-time job!)
Basically, let me put it this way. If women are too delicate to make spreadsheets, they’re far too delicate to clean up vomit, diffuse tantrums or slapfights between siblings, and drag children out of the bath who, twenty minutes earlier, were begging not to go in. Or as I tweeted:
Basically, I think anyone who finds office work intensely strenuous (if they are not also managing childcare simultaneously) probably has some kind of vitamin deficiency, or perhaps a Victorian disease of the humors that requires time at the beach.
Other takes:
Woke Pope
We have a new Pope! Last week, I posted a 13-minute improvised and unedited Trump impression about the new Pope (among other things) so have a listen here.
Anyway, the new Pope Leo XIV initially sparked controversy for two reasons: He’s WOKE (aka, pro-immigration and pro-taking care of the poor, but also pro-life, not too shocking for a Catholic) or as Laura Loomer would say:
Man, what kind of history does this guy have??
Also, he’s from Chicago!
But is he a cis man? I wouldn’t be so sure! They’re already transvestigating:
They are also Jewvestigating him:
Who is up for some Popely antics?
Funny Tweets/Other Happenings
Trump released a new all-timer quote where he briefly expressed admiration for Pete Buttigieg’s marriage:
I don’t know why I liked this one, I just did:
You all suck at Doing Phone:
I was gagged I fear:

The Parental Safetyism Arms Race
As parents and non-parents alike criticize rampant “safetyism” taking over Parent World and making it impossible for kids to live normal lives, one particular controversy comes up time and time again: sleepovers. Specifically, whether or not they should be allowed. The danger referenced is mostly sexual assault (usually from a sibling, or an adult relative living in the house.) But sometimes, the dangers are less severe, like the fear that your child could be exposed to porn or even just media that isn’t age appropriate.
i've watched the Trump bicycle video once a day since it came out, and it still gets me every single time. it feels like he wanted to imply Buttigieg was gay, remembered he actually WAS gay in the middle of the statement, and just kept things rolling.
the line about getting more RSVPS for a Hitler party hit me right in the feels.
also this " so I might have to use myself as the model for all 20-30 photos.)" is giving big "don't make me sing" energy lol
