These posts are so good for inoculation against believing everything on the Internet. Now whenever I read something outrageous I just assume CHH is the one who wrote it!
There is a certain kind of person who is just dedicated to being unhappy. On the left, it seems like most of these people are quarantined to the more insane parts of Twitter. On the right, they largely are, or were, as well, but a few like Jesse Watters and Matt Walsh are given cushy media jobs to whine that everything is woke, DEI, and gay.
Speaking of Walsh, it sounds like the Daily Wire is imploding at the moment, including the cancelation of their non-union, trad equivalent of Bluey. The story is developing, but the potential is there to reach heights of schadenfreude previously undreamed of.
Watters and AITA guy (who is probably fake) picked dumb examples, but saying something is “feminine” or “unmanly” is not the same as saying it is “gay” (indeed it’s a bit homophobic to conflate the two).
Within reason, it should be totally fine for men to want to appear masculine and not feminine (and of course gay men have their own way of appearing masculine). I think if straight women are being honest with themselves there are certainly things that might make a man appear unattractively feminine to them (I’m guessing that saying “happy birthday” is not one of them). “Wanting to look manly” is no more inherently homophobic than CHH’s predilection for extremely feminine outfits.
Conservative political commentators don’t really have friends, so they always have to guess what men are like. You can see this with Matt Walsh as well.
