25% OFF SALE! + Fashion Favorites of September
A big discount, plus my favorite fits, buys, and sewing projects for this month (also, I sewed my own wedding guest dress!)
Happy Saturday! I’m realizing that a lot of you subscribed on an annual basis about a year ago, and not that I CARE or anything, but these subscriptions not auto-renewing means that I’ve lost a bunch of subscriptions, presumably from at least some people who wanted to stay subscribed (again, not like I care or anything, see if I care. Don’t put it in the papers that I care.)
Unlike other subscription services, I don’t send you a bunch of annoying reminders about renewing, so instead of nagging you, I’m just going to give you a discount on annual subscriptions if you want to renew, or if you are a first-time subscriber. This sale will apply to any new annual subscriptions from current free or non-subscribers but not users who transition from monthly to annual. This offer is good for the next week (until 10/10)
Also, before we get to the fashion of September, here are some survey opportunities for future articles!
Screentime survey, for American parents of kids age 2-10
Dead bedroom survey, for people who are, or have been, in a “dead bedroom” relationship (very infrequent sex or no sex)
Dating dealbreakers survey for anyone, married or single (but I especially need more over-40s)
Fashion Favorites of September
For those of you not familiar, every month I do a fashion roundup of my favorite outfits, purchases, and sewing projects for that month. You may have followed for sex/relationships stuff, political stuff, parenting stuff, or something else entirely and are a bit confused. If fashion isn’t your thing, never fear, this is a monthly post and you have plenty of other content about things like Reddit drama over pretty vaginas and incel gorillas. However, if you enjoy fashion, stay with me for this one.
Favorite Outfits
I’ve been wearing my drop waist Aritzia dress a lot lately, and because it’s very summery I’ve been pairing it with darker accessories. I’ve settled on pairing it with dark brown, which I really love. The bag and shoes here are featured in the “Favorite Buys” section since they were both bought this month.
I also got a chance to break out my fall coat of the year, the Veronica Beard Quinton coat, although the weather turned out to be too hot for it and I took it off pretty quickly after leaving the house. In case you’re curious, the knit dress is Sandro from TheRealReal and the shoes are Cole Haan.
