21 Outfits I Wore In Paris This July

Plus some cool European brands and indie designers I discovered

For any newcomers: every now and then (about 5-10% of my total content volume) I write about fashion. For those of you who enjoyed the (very small) fashion roundup for our family trip to Greece, I have a much bigger one today—a bunch of Paris outfits to share with you all, as well some cool French or European brands I discovered while there. This one will focus on women’s fashion, but I have some stuff coming on men’s fashion soon.

Plus, some original sewing projects make their appearance!

First, I’m starting to get into frog closure tops, and the very affordable Spanish brand Oysho is here to help! This white frog closure top is 100% linen, and has been extremely versatile to wear throughout the summer. Here I paired it with some simple cotton pull-on shorts. The fabric comes from Mood Fabrics (only available in yellow and white now) and you can find it here. The bag is one of my all-time go-tos, and it’s from Sezane.

Side note: I am fully aware that the shirt is wrinkled, yes I ironed it but as soon as I wore it, it got wrinkled again. I’m a bit of a linen newbie and I’m assuming some wrinkles are to be expected. Last time I wore something this wrinkled, I got comments on Twitter saying, “Why don’t white people press their clothes?” so let me just clarify that I do, but I think with linen it’s inevitable. (Sounds like something a white person would say.)

For a dinner out with family, I wore this set which I purchased from a local indie designer called Audella Paris. They have a pop-up shop at 48 Rue de Montmorency, and they also have an Instagram account. If you’re in town, you should check them out! My only gripe about their clothes was that they were pretty light on natural fibers, but I found this set pretty comfortable and breezy (aka, non-sweaty) so it’s okay. This set actually reminded me a bit of a much more affordable Self-Portrait. The bag is, again, Sezane.

Another family dinner outfit with the same versatile Sezane raffia bag—this was a really cool co-ord I found at an amazing steal (60% off!) in the Marais from the French brand Louise Misha. The shoes, in case you are wondering, are an old Cult Gaia style with little pearls in the heel.
