So, every Friday I’ve been writing about fashion to satisfy my own itch for fashion content while hoping that I don’t hemorrhage subscribers. A big motivator, honestly, is the fact that the only people who care what I wear are you assholes on Substack, and nobody in real life even notices.

Despite providing a disclaimer that the fashion stuff will only happen on Fridays, I still lose a ton of people every Friday who see anything related to the word fashion and promptly transform into bats, screeching into the night as they seek shelter from my Fran Fine-inspired sartorial offenses in their caves. Anyway, I’ve accepted this is just something that will happen, so while I might limit my fashionposting to every other Friday, I’m still doing my monthly fashion roundup. And this month, I actually went on an international trip to Paris and London, so I figured I’d highlight what I wore on that trip!

The Paris/London Trip

I travel primarily for the food, but I also just really enjoy planning a “vacation wardrobe” for any given trip. Last time I went to Paris (please refrain from calling me an insufferable bourgeois twit) I was fully aware that my clothing screamed “American tourist trying to look like a caricature of a French woman that they saw on a kitschy tote bag in a souvenir store.” However, I dressed that way simply because I was already dressing that way in America, and I thought it was more poseurish to alter my style to prevent looking like a tourist. Basically:

Anyway, this time I wanted to try out slightly more minimalist looks (although for me, I’m aware “minimalist” carries a huge bubblegum pink asterisk.) So anyway, here are some of the things I wore that I liked, plus my usual roundup of fashion buys and sewing projects:
