very funny. kinda feels like there are some parallels between incels approach to women and what you describe here. only interested in friends for things that convenience you, beelining for the popular woman, discarding the woman who is actually on your level. idk seemed like something to me

This is why I liked being a programmer, just holding up one hand was the sign for no one to bother me and after a week, no one did!

Incredible, thank you for putting the Sara/Rhonda dichotomy into words. Will now be reflecting on all past acquaintances using this framework!

I HATE being the Sara because it reminds me about all the times I was a Rhonda. One day I’ll learn to separate that stuff out. Your Rhonda was absolutely wiling but honestly you were not that bad to Sara — and it just ultimately was a bad fit. There have been times when you *were* Rhonda, there were many times I was Rhonda. I wish I could let the weird guilt about when I was Rhonda go.

We all can be the Sara or Rhonda although Rhonda really was pushing it and seems kind of gross.

Really enjoyed the read but I have to ask: Why was it not an option for Rhonda to sleep on the sofa??

Couch at the time was pretty uncomfortable, and not really meant for sleeping, but that would’ve been better lol
