I’m many things—most people might just see me as a “tech CEO.” But the reality is that I have been working on myself in therapy, and it’s been a long two months of doing the work and really understand who I am as a person—someone who undervalues themselves, doesn’t speak up for themselves, and always puts other people first. It’s no surprise that I attract sociopaths and narcissists: almost every single person I’ve ever met, minus myself, has been a narcissist and master manipulator. I think it’s finally time for me to enforce a boundary that’s being repeatedly violated by my employees, who have gaslit me every step of the way. I am tired of the invisible emotional labor that always falls on me when it comes to forcing them back into the office.
