Each month, I cover all my favorite fashion from the previous month—not only my favorite outfits, but my favorite sewing projects, because a good portion of my clothes (not to mention my husband’s and kids’) are homemade. Perhaps you didn’t subscribe for fashion, but the good news is that fashion is only about 10% of my content, and with 4-5 posts every week, there’s bound to be something else that you like. (Please don’t be mad at me for the fashion. Please.)

Best Fits

I sincerely apologize to anyone who eagerly opened this article because they saw that I posted a “thirst trap” (your words, not mine) in the form of this jumpsuit, which was my big sewing project of the month, and they expected more of this:

Unfortunately for those people, most of my clothes look more like this, although for anyone interested in the craftsmanship of the jumpsuit I will be providing fabric recommendations and such.

Anyway, if you are still interested despite the fact that what is to follow is entirely fashion-oriented with nary a boob to be found, read on.

One of my favorite outfits this month was this orange getup, comprised entirely of second-hand items (the top must have been $20 thrifted, the skirt was $40 at TheRealReal—and look at those fun flower appliques!) I wore this for a child’s party with an orange theme. And a pop of blue courtesy of Vivaia sandals.

I also wore this to checks notes take my kids to the park? IDK man, I need excuses to wear fun clothes I guess. Fun fact: with the exception of the top (Aritzia) all of this is also second hand! The bag is a vintage Coach Soho bag for which I’ve found myself reaching constantly, and the belt was this cool piece I found at a random vintage pop-up. I had been searching for a metallic Western-inspired belt for ages, so I was thrilled to stumble upon it.
