Many Such Takes: Leftist Running Club, Pink Dress Shaming, Deadbeat Dad, Is Josh Seiter Dead?
The most unhinged discourse of the week, always free
Welcome to Many Such Takes! For those unfamiliar, this is a free weekly segment (I also do lots of other stuff!) For Many Such Takes, I stay up to date with the latest and most chaotic Twitter (and now BlueSky) discourse so you don’t have to. If you see yourself featured here and you don’t like it, simply send me a Substack message and I will happily remove, no matter who you are or what you said.
For previous issues of Many Such Takes, see this tab on my main page.
Leftist Running Club
This feels like really good “peak Twitter” drama, the kind of thing I no longer see very often because the types of people who have these arguments have either moved to Bluesky or blocked me (often both!) But anyway, this week we were privy to top-tier leftist drama when one Twitter user suggested something verboten in online leftist circles: working out.
It actually all started with a tweet I couldn’t locate, but this tweet proposed socialists organize around physical fitness and running. I saw this subtweet from someone else, insisting that it’s pointless to go to the gym because you could always be stabbed by someone. Oh, this is gonna be good.
This response to the tweet set off more discoure:
Someone else joined in on the fun, agreeing with the original “fitness bad” take, but for a completely different reason. Oh my God, I miss this.
This same person pulled a “this you?” on the commenter who believe the possibility of being stabbed shouldn’t stop someone from working out, by pulling out an old tweet showing she was indoor dining in November of 2024:
A different person jumped into the discourse, unaware that she was also about to be “this you’d” for being on the subway maskless earlier this year:
Pink Dress Shaming
This may be a true “let them fight” situation (at least for those on the left.) Natalie Winters, co-host of Steve Bannon’s War Room and investigative reporter, posted a thirst trap of herself in a dress that is—dare I say—very CHH coded.
Now, before you come at me for slut-shaming her myself by calling this a thirst trap, I actually wouldn’t have used that term if she hadn’t deliberately made a pun on the word “waist.” So perhaps more of a body check than a thirst trap, but either way, she clearly wanted to point out that she’s hot, which is fine by the way. Look, say what you will, but the alternative explanation is that she can’t spell “waste” which I think is worse.
But naturally, Pearl Davis, notorious female anti-feminist of Twitter, was quick to call her out for “being naked.”
When Pearl was corrected on the fact that Natalie was, in fact, wearing a dress, she shot back that the dress was inappropriate for her role. If anything, she should be showing more skin—if anyone stops staring at her for even a moment, there’s a chance they might have to look at Steve Bannon.
But many Twitter users were on Natalie’s side here, including her former boss, who Pearl was quick to hit with the “hope she sees this, bro.”
Other people pointed out that Pearl herself has worn equally revealing clothing, and the accusation of “using her sexuality to get ahead” was more about jealousy than morals:
Deadbeat Dad
I’m getting annoyed at how much space Elon Musk is taking up in Many Such Takes, since this series is supposed to be about weird Internet people and not celebrities. But unfortunately, he’s both a celebrity and a weird Internet person, so here we are.
On Thursday, Elon’s ex partner, Grimes, had to resort to replying to a Grok-related thread to beg him to reply to her over an unspecified medical emergency related to one of their children:
Although the tweet was deleted, it appeared as though Grimes herself didn’t delete it, but it was purposefully hidden and removed by Elon Musk himself.
While most of Twitter (even right-wing Twitter) turned on Elon Musk for his deadbeat behavior, one person at least claimed that there was more to the story:
But what was Elon up to when all of this was happening? Oh, just normal stuff.
Is Josh Seiter Dead?
For those of you who haven’t heard of Josh Seiter, buckle up, this one is good. Basically, Josh Seiter is a former contestant on The Bachelorette, who, in mid-2024, came out as a transgender woman, despite continuing to use the name Josh and keeping his facial hair (before you yell at me for misgendering him, I’m not—read on.) It was suspicious that upon coming out as trans, Josh’s first course of action was to run to the tabloids and talk about how he was receiving death threats primarily from LGBT groups on the left.
Maybe these threats weren’t even happening, but if they were, perhaps these “leftist groups” were onto something, because several months later, Josh admitted he was merely pretending to be trans as a prank, to prove how gullible leftists can be—except for the ones who immediately figured out what he was doing and sent him death threats, I guess.
However, maybe he…wasn’t really pretending? At the very least, Josh seems to really enjoy dressing up in drag, because even after the “prank” was over, he continued to post photos of himself in full glam, usually with impeccably matched lipstick and manicures. He has never once repeated an outfit.
This week, he posted this shot of his 3-month “baby bump” in an effort to mock Elon’s latest baby mama, Ashley St. Clair. But uh….did he really buy a Louis Vuitton crossbody “as a joke?” Lots going on here!
But anyway, two days later, his “family” posted from the account letting his followers know he was dead.
Now, if one took Josh Seiter seriously, they might be genuinely concerned. However, apparently, he faked his death in August 2023, during what he claims was a hack. But this is Josh we’re talking about—we’ve already established anything he says is likely some sort of prank. So for now, his “death” has been community noted, and there has been no official confirmation of it.

I would love it if, say, Korea had a breakout pop sensation named Big Ashley.
