Many Such Takes: DEI Chad, Hot Brother-in-Law, Barron Stans, Reading Privilege, Reader Survey Results
The most unhinged discourse of the week, always free
Welcome to Many Such Takes! I stay up to date with the latest and most chaotic Twitter discourse so you don’t have to. If you see yourself featured here and you don’t like it, simply send me a Substack message and I will happily remove, no matter who you are or what you said. For previous issues of Many Such Takes, see this tab on my main page. Many Such Takes will always be free, so please become a free or paid subscriber to see more every Sunday!
Also, just FYI, I’m on Bluesky now and will likely spend more time there (although I will still use Twitter, after all, I need Many Such Takes material!) Follow me on Bluesky!
DEI Chad
I wrote about the tension between the genders and the 4B movement (or, to put it in very simple terms, sex boycott) earlier this week (check it out if you missed it earlier!) But I was hardly the only one who wrote about this topic. From the other side of the aisle, men were quick to point out that women will quickly give up on 4B, especially if they get a booty call from Chad.
But…wait, hold on a sec. We want to make sure to be equitable to all Chadx of various ethnicities:
Guys, Chad has gone woke!
My first observation was that the name “Raj” seemed especially lazy, as it was certainly just the first Indian name this guy could think of. And it turns out, my instincts were correct. I had completely forgotten about this, but apparently in the ancient incel forum days, there was already a list of multi-ethnic Chads, and the Indian Chad was actually named “Chadpreet.” The East Asian Chad wasn’t “Chan” but “Chang Thunderwang.”
In fact, this tweet does leave out plenty of ethnic Chad variations (problematic, much??)
One of the people who replied to my tweet found the Incel Wiki list of Chads. Some of these are basically what you’d expect- of course the Greek Chad is Adonis (in my opinion, it’s Nick.) But we also have some others which I assume I just don’t have the cultural background to understand. For example, the German Chad is “Justus” and Kenyan Chad is Wafula Omutombi. Also, why isn’t the English Chad just Chad? Who the fuck is “Jason?”
I was wondering what the origin of Wafula Omutombi was (or really, any of the names that couldn’t be explained as ‘sounds alpha’ or ‘sounds exactly like Chad.’ The only record I could find of Mr. Omutombi was on the r/Kenya subreddit where a Kenyan guy was discovering this character (via the incel wiki.) Nobody responded.
Anyway, it looks like most of these Chad names were made up on the spot, unless we want to start reviving some of them.
Also…dog Chad? I’ve seen enough. It’s so over for caninecels.
Hot Brother in Law
This week brought us this amazing post where a woman lets us know her brother in law is super hot, but losing opportunities with women because he voted for Trump:
So first of all, there’s no way she knows his body fat percentage, and even if she did, there’s no way it’s 5% unless he’s a professional bodybuilder specifically in prep mode for a show.
Many people also noted she seems a little too…uh….interested in the aforementioned shredded brother in law.
Barron Stans
One amazing thing about the Twitter Right is that they’ve correctly identified both Don Jr. and Eric Trump as complete duds, and moved over to Barron, who as far as we know, has never spoken publicly about anything. Sorry, I should clarify. There’s one video of him speaking as a young child, where he is dancing around excitedly about a suitcase, speaking in an Eastern European accent (evidently, Melania is the Default Parent.)
Anyway, people are really into Baron in a way that feels a bit like fanfic:
To quote the late great Hannibal Lector, many people are saying Barron is running the show from the shadows!
Obviously, this is crazy, but the funny part is that nobody has ever been able to successfully “run the show” from the shadows when Trump is involved. Numerous people have tried (Elon Musk currently attempting this) but if Trump is good at one thing, it’s figuring out who is the dom and sub in any given relationship. Might I direct you to Trump’s own personal political compass of strong/weak and nice/mean (to him.) Made by yours truly:
Anyway, the key part of this compass is that Trump himself must always be the nicest and the strongest. If he picks up on anyone attempting to exceed him “with respect to strong,” that person is dunzo. I actually think there’s a decent chance he figures out that Elon Musk is using his presidency to get around the fact that he personally can’t be president due to his being born outside the US, and scraps him. Bookmark this, we shall see!
Anyway, some funny tweets on the topic:
This one is by far the best:
Reading is a Privilege
Look, I’m not saying Kamala Harris lost the election because of “woke,” but I do think the election brought on a vibe shift where there are certain types of annoying leftist infighting that we now have permission to completely ignore. To quote our would-be President, we are not going back.
You might be wondering, what are you talking about? Perhaps you’re worried that I’m advocating for throwing human rights under the bus. Don’t worry, I’m not! I’m talking about stuff like…this.
Probably relevant is that the original poster here is a “school abolitionist.” It’s giving 7-year-old!
CHH Reader Survey
Thanks everyone who took the reader survey! I’m making a few (minor) changes based on the results. First of all, some fun facts about the people who filled it out (mostly paid subscribers, although it was open to all)
Gender breakdown:
Age breakdown:
Political breakdown:
Okay, now for the updates!
I will continue daily posts. Overall, only 8% of respondents said that the current cadence is too much. Most respondents were happy with it, with a great deal saying they’d be equally happy with 2-3 posts per week, but a substantial number saying that a decrease in post frequency would be a negative change.
Of the type of content I create, the most popular (and you can expect to see more of this stuff going forward) was:
Stuff about friendship/social skills
Sex and relationship content
Personal essays
Parenting content
The least popular content (and I will continue to do most of this but maybe not as often) was:
Fashion content
OCD/mental health content
Trump impressions (given the election, I’ll probably pause on these for a while anyway)
92% of respondents were interested in an advice column where readers can submit questions or “AITA” type scenarios, to be judged by me and Mr. CHH. This will move ahead, but in order to submit questions you have to be a paid member, so consider upgrading your subscription :)
I was also surprised by the equal gender breakdown. That's pretty rare on the Internet, I think. You should run personal ads lol
Very considerate of Incel Wiki to distinguish between Indian and Pakistani Chads. Someone’s read their Salman Rushdie.
