Due to Popular Demand: the Picky Eater Smoothie Recipe (and Sludge)
A guest post by my husband
I don’t normally post on Saturdays, but yesterday I wrote about my son’s incredibly picky eating and the revolutionary smoothie my husband invented that has kept him at the ninetieth percentile for height and weight despite being a severely picky eater. In case you’re wondering what it tastes like, it tastes a bit like a peanut butter and jelly flavored smoothie with slight notes of cocoa (which is ironic because he refuses to eat peanut butter and jelly sandwiches.) My son is fully aware of everything that goes into the smoothie, despite being unwilling to eat any of these things on their own.
Many of you asked for the smoothie recipe, as well as the recipe for “Sludge,” a not-very-good-tasting but extremely effective post-workout smoothie that my husband also invented, which we featured in our fitness guide. I asked him to write the full detailed recipes for you today. So enjoy, from Mr. CartoonsHateHer:
There has been a call from CHH’s sludge gooners to provide a more detailed recipe about the substance that CHH and I consume every day + my son’s smoothie aka Baby Sludge (but his actually tastes pretty good).
We do not drink sludge for the taste, hence the name sludge. We could have branded it something more appetizing, but sludge hits the essence of what it is.
