Maybe I'm projecting but was it that you didn't feel you deserved a better job, or did you not have any peers, like from college or even high school in a similar industry who could give you insight into the thought process of how Anastasia quit to go work at Google?
I wonder if you would have been happier working at a bigger place with a training program for new employees and more structure.
lmao what an ending! now u have me reminiscing about how great ASOS was from like 2012-2016. I remember thinking that their slutty going out dresses were cut for girls with big hips and I loved that. I haven’t ordered anything from there in years but i tried on a really great bias cut dress from one of their in-house brands at the thrift recently and it fit like a glove
That's a great question. it's certainly up there, but probably not the craziest. It was not the worst place (that's a later article) nor was it the most unethical (also a later article) but PERHAPS the most memorable.
What a nice read, really.. I have one burning question: Did you ever meet Vince again under any circumstances? Would love to how his life has played out.
given your skills as a story teller, I kinda want a write up of the central park incident.
Excellent chapter! What great writing!
And the ending? BADDA BING!!!!!
Glad someone noticed!!
So good. “When I see a period I’m done” is the most perfect deranged sales guy thought.
You know, I really did not expect such a sweet ending.
With no period!!

I actually did work for a company like that later, it didn’t go well lol
This was funny, thanks for uploading during my work hours
I’m so glad it brings brightness to the day!
What an incredible story. Thank you for sharing.
Fantastic piece. Just great.
I love the last paragraph! Great chapter, I really enjoyed it!

Was this the crazies place you worked at or is there even more craziness later?

Lmao can’t believe you had to deal with Pilarium pre acquisition.
Like I know you can’t say it’s pilarium but it’s pilarium right?
Edit: sorry I meant playtika lol
Well written and touching.
Really well written. Love the tie in ending.

But I guess sometimes there is no second chapter!
Nicely captured that floundering pointless startup vibe
